The prosecutor's office imposed preventive measures and a PLN 25 million asset restraint order against MP Michał Woś in a case involving the Justice Fund. The politician ironically wrote on his Facebook page that he "kindly left 12 groszy" in his account. MEP Krzysztof Brejza claims this is a crime and has notified the prosecutor's office.

During the investigation into the Justice Fund, the prosecutor issued an order imposing preventive measures and securing assets against Law and Justice MP Michał Woś, the National Prosecutor's Office announced on Thursday. This includes the seizure of Woś's belongings in connection with allegations of misappropriation of PLN 25 million. The politician beat the bailiff who seized his account. " I managed to leave Żurek 12 groszy. Waldek, please don't cry," Michał Woś wrote on the X portal on Thursday.

According to Krzysztof Brejza, MEP for the Civic Coalition (KO), this particular entry constitutes a crime under Article 300 of the Penal Code. It involves preventing or reducing the satisfaction of a creditor. Brejza announced that he has filed a report with the prosecutor's office regarding this matter.

The indictment against Woś, a politician associated with Solidarna Polska and former deputy minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was issued on Tuesday. Woś was charged with exceeding his authority and failing to fulfill his duties in August 2024, when he transferred PLN 25 million from the Justice Fund to purchase Pegasus software for the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA). The Sejm had previously waived his immunity. At the end of September of this year, the prosecutor presented Woś with a decision amending the charges, supplementing the description of the offense and partially modifying the legal classification. This includes the misappropriation of PLN 25 million in property. Woś faces a prison sentence of one to 10 years. (PAP)
